VMA Lending, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use our mortgage brokerage services, in accordance with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and other applicable laws.
Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Contact information: name, phone number, email address, and mailing address
- Financial information: income, employment history, assets, debts, and bank account information
- Sensitive identifiers: Social Security number, date of birth, and government-issued identification
- Credit information: credit history and credit scores obtained with your authorization
- Property information: details about the property you are purchasing or refinancing
- Server logs and form security data: basic request data such as IP address and browser user agent, which our hosting provider may record and which we also store with lead and consent submissions for security, fraud prevention, and record-keeping purposes
- Limited browser storage: a small number of cookies and browser storage items used strictly for form attribution and to remember that you have seen our cookie notice (see Cookies and Browser Storage below)
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process and evaluate your mortgage loan application
- Match you with appropriate lending partners and loan products
- Communicate with you about your application, account, and our services
- Verify your identity and prevent fraud
- Comply with legal and regulatory requirements
- Operate and maintain our website
- Attribute form submissions to the referral partner or marketing campaign that sent you, when applicable
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only as necessary with:
- Lending partners: to process your mortgage application and secure loan offers on your behalf
- Service providers: third parties that help us operate our business, including Supabase for secure lead and consent record storage, Resend for internal lead-notification email delivery, document management services, and compliance vendors
- Credit bureaus: to obtain credit reports with your authorization and to report loan activity as required
- Government and regulatory agencies: as required by law, including compliance with HMDA, ECOA, and other lending regulations
All third parties with whom we share information are required to protect your data and may use it only for the purposes for which it was shared. For example, Supabase stores lead and consent records on our behalf, and Resend delivers internal lead-notification emails to our team.
Your Right to Opt Out
Under the GLBA, you have the right to opt out of the sharing of your nonpublic personal information with non-affiliated third parties. If you wish to opt out, please contact us using the information provided below. Please note that we may still share your information as permitted by law, such as with our service providers or as required for loan processing.
Cookies and Browser Storage
We do not run Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Plausible, Umami, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party analytics, advertising, or behavioral-tracking script on this website. We do not use web beacons.
The only items we store in your browser are:
- cookie-consent (saved in your browser's local storage): records that you have dismissed this notice so we do not show it on your next visit.
- vma_ref (a cookie that expires after 30 days): set only if you arrive through one of our partner referral links (a URL that starts with /ref/). It lets us credit the correct partner when you later submit a form.
- vma_utm (saved in your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab): captures standard marketing parameters such as utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, and utm_content from the URL when you land on our site, so we can attach them to a form you submit from that same tab.
None of these items are shared with advertisers, ad networks, or analytics providers. They are read only when you submit one of our contact, callback, or loan-matching forms, so that we can connect your submission with the campaign or partner that referred you. You can clear any of them at any time from your browser's storage settings, and doing so will not prevent the site from working.
Data Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission, secure storage systems, and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal and regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Mortgage-related records are retained in accordance with federal and state record-keeping requirements.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below.
California Residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) may provide you with additional rights regarding your personal information, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. For more information or to exercise your rights, contact us using the information below.
